I took a few yoga classes several years ago, and got a few DVDs, and have been practicing on and off ever since then. ... Well, okay, I mostly haven't been practicing. Until this past January, when I started up again with my videos and have been doing a fairly good job of keeping it up thrice-weekly! I definitely consider myself a beginner.
Anyway, a month ago I posted some reviews of the videos I have (and a general discussion of my practice), and I thought I'd share with the community: Marlon Braccia, Bollinger, and Suzanne Deason.
And a question: does anyone else tend to feel a lot of strain in their wrists from doing yoga? (I have very small wrists.) Is there a good way to mitigate that - other than "don't balance on your wrists"? Would 80s-style wristbands help, maybe?

Date: 2009-04-23 01:50 pm (UTC)Also, I was trying out a DVD called "Iron Yoga" this weekend. If you have some light dumbbells, you might try taking this DVD out of the library. He has a sequence of wrist strengthening exercises that might also help address your problem.

But do be careful. Strains take forever to heal.
