Meditation

I've been feeling very guilty over the past several months for ignoring the meditation part of my yoga practice. My first yoga class was a semester-length, college-credit course, and meditation (and breath work, lots of it) was very strongly emphasized. Classmates complained whined commented that they found the meditation the most difficult (i.e., boring) part of the class, but I really enjoyed it and got a lot out of it.
Alas, in the months since, I've gotten very very lax, letting dvd's form my practice. Dvd's are fun, and my body loves them, but lately I've been feeling like I really am cheating by neglecting the fundamentals. So I've made a resolution (with personal accountability over at
exercise_every_day) to try to meditate at least a few minutes every day. (Doing well so far: 15 minutes last night, 10 minutes this morning.)
I'd be very interested to hear your thoughts on meditation as part of your daily practice: always? sometimes? never?
